CONSCIOUS RELATING LABMeet Yourself.
Understand each other.
Choose how you relate.
An experiential journey into how we communicate, connect, conflict, repair and relate — to ourselves and one another.
the labWhat if the problem isn’t that we don’t know how to love - but that we were never taught how to relate?
We are always relating.
To ourselves. To our partners. To our families. To our friends. To the stories we carry, the patterns we repeat and the people we’re becoming.
Conscious Relating Lab is a space to become curious about how you show up inside those relationships.
Not to learn the “right” way to communicate. Not to become perfect at relationships. And certainly not to eliminate conflict.
The practice is learning to notice what happens when you’re triggered. To understand the stories you tell yourself. To recognize the patterns you bring into connection. To listen without immediately defending. To speak without abandoning yourself. And to practice choosing how you want to relate instead of simply reacting from what you’ve learned.
The relationship is the lab.
Your real life is the practice.
me/you/usEvery relationship has three parts.
ME
How am I showing up?
My stories. My triggers. My needs. My patterns. My choices. My authentic voice.
YOU
Can I stay curious about you?
Your experience. Your needs. Your perspective. Your humanity - even when it differs from mine.
US
What are we creating together?
The patterns between us. The way we communicate. The way we repair. The relationship we consciously choose to build.
Conscious relating doesn't ask you to lose yourself for the relationship.
It asks you to bring more of yourself to it — consciously.
the pathsWe don’t all arrive at the same place.
You might be preparing to build a life with someone. You might already be years into building a life together. Or you might be realizing that the relationship asking for your attention right now is the one you have with yourself.
Wherever you’re entering from, the work begins with awareness.
01 - BEFORE THE ALTAR
For those preparing to choose each other.
Engaged, dating or considering long-term commitment. Explore communication, expectations, conflict, values and the patterns you want to understand before building a life together.
02 - AFTER THE ALTAR
For those choosing each other again.
Married or long-term partners who want to deepen connection, interrupt old patterns, communicate differently and create more room for honesty, repair and intimacy.
03 - THE INNER ALTAR
For the relationship you carry everywhere.
For individuals who want to understand themselves more deeply, communicate more authentically and change the patterns they bring into relationship — whether or not a partner is doing the work alongside them.
For the Founding Cohort, all three paths meet in one Lab.
Couples and individuals will learn and practice alongside one another, exploring the same foundational teachings through the lens of their own lived relationships.
the founding cohortThis is where we practice.
Conscious Relating Lab isn't designed to give you more information about relationships.
It's designed to give you a place to practice relating differently — in conversation, conflict, connection and the moments that happen outside the Lab.

Jan 12 + Jan 19, 2027
The Lab doesn’t end when the Zoom call does.
Your real life becomes the practice.
We don’t just talk about relating.
We practice it.
inside the labEach week, we'll turn our attention toward a different part of how we relate — to ourselves and to one another.
We'll learn. We'll experiment. We'll notice what happens.
Because understanding your patterns is one thing.
Catching yourself inside them is where the practice begins.
NOTICE
Triggers, stories, patterns + the subconscious beliefs underneath them.
LISTEN
How to hear another person without immediately defending, fixing or preparing your response.
SPEAK
Needs, boundaries, truth + authentic expression without abandoning yourself.
UNTANGLE
Conflict, assumptions, projections + the stories we tell ourselves.
REPAIR
What happens after rupture — and how we find our way back to connection.
CHOOSE
Moving from automatic reaction into conscious response and personal authority.
And we practice all of it in relationship —
because relationship is where our patterns become visible.
who the lab is forYou don’t need to be in crisis
to want to relate differently.
You just have to be willing to notice.
You might find yourself here if…
You care about the relationship you’re in -
but you keep finding yourselves in versions of the same conversation.
You’re single, dating or between relationships -
and you’re noticing patterns you don’t want to keep carrying forward.
You’re preparing for marriage or deeper commitment —
and you want to understand how you communicate, navigate difference and find your way back to one another.
You’re coming into the Lab without your partner —
and you’re curious about what can shift when you begin with your own side of the relationship.
Things might actually be good —
and you still want more honesty, awareness, depth and choice in how you relate.
The way you relate travels with you — into partnership, friendship, family, work, parenting, conflict, intimacy and your relationship with yourself.
why i created the labI don’t believe good relationships are built by people who never get triggered.
I believe they’re built by people willing to become curious about what happens when they do.
I’ve worked in the wedding industry since 2008, standing beside people as they make one of the biggest promises of their lives. And through my work in emotional intelligence, subconscious patterns and communication, I’ve also spent years exploring what happens after the promise — when two human beings have to actually live, communicate, disagree, repair and keep choosing how they want to show up.
Somewhere along the way, I became less interested in finding the “right” way to do relationships and much more interested in what happens when we learn to see ourselves inside them.
The stories we tell. The assumptions we make. The ways we protect ourselves. The moments we stop listening because we’re preparing our defence. The times we abandon our own voice to keep the peace — or become so certain of our own experience that we stop being curious about someone else’s.
Because so much of what shapes our relationships happens before we even realize it’s happening.
That curiosity became Conscious Relating Lab.
Not because I have relationships figured out.
I don’t.
I created the Lab because I believe relationship can be one of the most honest places we have to meet ourselves — and one of the most powerful places to practice something different.
A place where we can notice the pattern while we’re in it. Get curious about what’s underneath it. Experiment with another way. Repair when we don’t get it right.
And choose again.
I’m in the Lab, too.
Practicing. Noticing. Untangling. Choosing again.
what you'll experienceThis isn’t a course you consume.
It’s a Lab you participate in.
You won’t just learn concepts about communication and relationships. You’ll have opportunities to try things, notice what happens and take the practice into your actual life.
Because insight matters.
But the Lab is what happens when insight meets real life.
01 - IN THE LAB
Practice with other humans.
Through guided conversations, exercises and live practice, you’ll explore what it’s like to listen without preparing your response, speak without abandoning yourself, stay curious in discomfort, work with conflict and practice repair.
This isn’t about performing vulnerability or sharing more than you want to.
It’s about having somewhere to practice.
02 - BETWEEN LABS
Take it into real life.
Between gatherings, you’ll receive simple Lab Experiments — invitations to notice and try something different inside the relationships you’re already living.
At home. At work. With your partner. Your family. Your friends. And with yourself.
You’re not trying to “get it right.”
You’re gathering information.
What happened when you paused?
What happened when you asked instead of assumed?
What happened when you said the thing you normally swallow?
03 - BACK IN THE LAB
Bring back what happened.
We return with curiosity.
What did you notice? What surprised you? Where did an old pattern show up? Where did you respond differently? What became visible that you couldn’t see before?
Then we learn from what actually happened — and practice again.
You don’t have to get it right.
You just have to be willing to notice what happens.

the containerYou don’t need to arrive knowing how to do this.
Conscious Relating Lab is something we create together.
The depth of the experience doesn’t come from everyone saying the right thing or showing up perfectly. It comes from our willingness to be honest, stay curious, take responsibility for ourselves and practice being in relationship with the humans in the room.
These are the agreements that help us do that.
But you do need to be willing to participate.
01 - privacyWhat’s shared in the Lab stays in the Lab.
We protect one another’s stories, vulnerability and lived experiences. You’re welcome to share what you learned or experienced outside the Lab — but someone else’s story is not yours to tell.
02 - courage over comfort You will never be asked to override yourself.
Courage doesn’t mean forcing vulnerability or pushing past your own boundaries. It means becoming curious about the moments when discomfort, protection or an old pattern might be keeping you from saying what’s true.
Sometimes courage is speaking.
Sometimes courage is saying no.
03 - curiosity over certaintyWe’re not here to prove who’s right.
We practice getting curious about the stories we’re telling, the assumptions we’re making and the meaning we’re assigning to another person’s words or behaviour.
We can disagree and still remain curious about one another.
04 - your authentic voiceYour yes. Your no. Your pause. Your truth.
You are responsible for your own voice — and for making room for someone else to have theirs.
The practice isn’t agreeing with everyone in the room.
It’s learning how to stay connected to yourself while remaining in relationship with someone who may experience things differently.
No fixing. No performing. No getting it perfect.
Just humans willing to notice, practice and try again.
good to know
A few things you might be wondering.
If you’re curious about the Lab but wondering how some of the practical pieces work, start here.
-
No. The Founding Cohort is intentionally open to both individuals and couples.
You can come on your own whether you’re single, dating, partnered, married or somewhere in between. The relationship you have with yourself — and the way you show up inside all of your relationships — is part of the Lab, too.
-
You’re still welcome.
You don’t need another person’s participation in order to become more aware of your own patterns, communication, boundaries, reactions and choices.
The Lab isn’t about changing your partner. It’s about becoming more conscious of how you relate — and noticing what becomes possible from there.
-
No. Conscious Relating Lab is an educational and experiential group program, not psychotherapy or couples counselling.
We’ll explore communication, emotional intelligence, subconscious patterns, conflict, boundaries, repair and other aspects of relating through teaching, conversation and practice.
It isn’t intended to diagnose, treat or replace mental-health care or relationship therapy.
-
Absolutely.
You don't have to currently be in a romantic relationship to explore how you relate.
Patterns of relating show up in friendships, family, dating, work, conflict, intimacy and the relationship you have with yourself. You’ll have plenty of real life to practice with.
-
The live experience is an important part of the Lab.
This isn't designed as a course you watch later. Much of the learning happens through conversation, practice and being in relationship with other people in real time.
Life happens, and missing one gathering doesn’t mean you can’t continue. But if you already know you’ll be unable to attend several of the live Labs, this particular cohort may not be the right fit.
Tuesdays 6:30-8:30 PM MT
-
Privacy matters in this container, and I want people to be able to participate without wondering whether a vulnerable conversation will live somewhere afterward.
The relational/group portions of the Lab will not be recorded. If I choose to record a teaching for participants to reference later, I’ll let the group know before recording begins.
-
No one will be required to disclose something they don’t want to share.
You’ll be invited to participate, experiment and stretch — but participation doesn’t mean overriding your own boundaries.
Part of conscious relating is learning to recognize and communicate your own yes, no, not yet and pause.
-
There are no weekly live Labs during December.
Instead, you’ll take the work into real life through guided Lab Experiments and invitations to notice what happens in your actual relationships during the holiday season.
Rather than stepping away from the work when relationships can become especially alive, your real life becomes the Lab.
We’ll come back together January 12 + 19 to reflect, integrate and close the Founding Cohort together.
-
CRL can offer tools for communication, self-awareness and relating, but it isn't crisis intervention or a substitute for therapy, counselling or other professional support when that level of care is needed.
If you’re currently navigating abuse, concerns about your immediate safety, or an acute mental-health or relationship crisis, the Lab may not be the appropriate container for what you need right now.
-
Still wondering something? I’d love to hear from you.
If there’s something you want to know before deciding whether the Lab is right for you, reach out. I want you to feel clear about what you’re entering.
the lab opens october 6You don’t have to have
relationships figured out.
You just have to be willing to meet yourself inside them.
